Appeal Court Judgement - A Mockery of Democracy

This was released to the press on Monday 31st March 2008.

...Following the condemnation (by both local and international observers) of the way the election was conducted, the judgment can best be described as a mockery of democracy. It also plays up the stereotype that incompetence and electoral fraud is acceptable in Nigeria.....

The Judiciary and Democracy in Nigeria

This was released to the press on Monday 26th November 2007.

...It is gratifying to note that of late the judiciary has started asserting its independence and acting impartially in the dispensation of justice. They have also shown that they are ready to weed out the bad eggs among them....

Buhari: The Symbol of Hope of a Nation

This was released to the press on Monday 22nd October 2007. Following the criminality that was unleashed on Nigerians in the name of election in April 2007, Nigerians and friends of Nigeria found themselves in a state of shock and numbness. We feel the actions of many individuals and groups need to be commended or condemned and we have therefore found it necessary at this stage to express our views.

2007 ELection: A Call For Change

This was released to the press on Thursday 12th April 2007. The Foundation felt its necessary to make this call at this crucial time because after 46 years of nationhood and the massive God-given human and material resources, the country has little or nothing to show in relation to other comparable Nations such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa and even Ghana.

The foundation felt that this is a crucial opportunity that Nigerians and friends of Nigeria cannot afford to miss - electing credible leaders to lead them in the next four years.

INEC Should Be An Impartial Referee

This was released to the press on Monday 5th March 2007. It is a call to INEC to be impartial in the conduct of the April elections to ensure that the elections are credible, free and fair.

An Urgent Appeal To The Nigerian Security Services

This was released to the press on Monday 19th Febrary 2007. It is a call to Security Services to be patriotic in their conducts, particularly during the April Elections.

COSDAG Endorses Buhari's Candidature for the 2007 Presidential Election

This was released to the press on Friday 29th December 2006. It was released by The Coalition for Sustainable Democracy and Accountable Governance (COSDAG), made up of pro-democracy groups in Western and Eastern Europe, of which FGGN is part. The Coalition assessed the candidates presented by the three main political parties, and concluded that Buhari is the best candidate. The Coalision therefore endorses Buhari’s candidature for the 2007 Presidential Election. and will from now on sell his candidature at home and abroad for the purpose of moving Nigeria forward and out of the dark days of the Obasanjo/Atiku contraption.

2007 Election: Support for Buhari

This was released to the press on Thursday 14th December 2006. The aim of which was to draw the attention of Nigerians and friends of Nigeria of the need for all to support the candidature of General (rtd) Muhammadu Buhari. We feel it is necessary to take this stand after due consideration of all the issues outlined in the press release.

This was released to the press on Thursday 6th March 2003. The aim of which was to draw the attention of Nigerians of the unprecedented murders of the opposition by the government in power.

This was released to the press on Tuesday 15th April 2003. This centred on the failures of the elections held on Saturday 12th April 2003 as well as drawing the attention of Nigerians and the International Community on the inadequacies of INEC.
